Enoch Boggess¹⁸⁵² was born on 7 Dec 1769 in Virginia.^{1853,1854,1855,1856,1857,1858} He appeared in the census in 1810 in Monroe Co., Virginia.¹⁸⁵⁹ His family included one male under age 10, one male aged 10 to 16, one male aged 16 to 26 and one male, presumably Enoch, aged 26 to 45 (born 1765 to 1784). Also, one female under age 10, one female aged 10 to 16, one female aged 16 to 26 and one female aged 26 to 45. He appeared in the census in 1820 in Monroe Co., Virginia.¹⁸⁶⁰ His family included one male under 10, one male aged 16 to 18, two males aged 16 to 26, and one male over 45 (presumably Enoch). There was also one female aged 16 to 26 and one female aged 26 to 45. Three persons were involved in agriculture. He appeared in the census in 1830 in Monroe Co., Virginia. He appeared in the census in 1840 in Elkhart Co., Indiana.¹³¹⁸ The census lists his age as between 70 and 80. There was one female in the family, presumably his wife Frances, aged 50 to 60. He appeared in the census in 1850 in Plain Twp., Kosciusko Co., Indiana.⁵⁶⁴ In the return, he is listed in the household of William C. Boggess. His real estate is valued at $220.
